It all starts in Buffalo, NY!

Each year, students at Buffalo Creek Academy Charter School (BCA) design and carry out two annual fundraisers each year to raise funds to sponsor their classmates in Ghana, Africa. BCA is a Cambridge International School and students have taken on this mission as a part of their Global Perspective’s course “Education for All” challenge.

Our Approach - We have developed two ways to carry out our mission.

BCI Schools

Our program is situated in Ghana, Africa. We have partnered with two local schools that need support for their students or school programs. We affectionately call these our Buffalo Creek International Schools. We raise funds to help our BCISs by sponsoring students (tuition, uniform, meals) and projects (after-school equipment, playgrounds, physical plant projects. Buffalo Creek Academy students raise funds for their “Education for All” project within the Cambridge Global Perspectives program. Below is a photo of students and staff from our first BCI school, New Life International School in Ghana.

BCIS Sponsored School Projects

Our on the ground team visits school to assess their needs and then prepares a proposal for a school-based project to enhance the learning experience for the students. Below is an example of a school playground project we recently completed by Future Leaders Hunters Academy in Ghana.
